International Skyrise Greenery Conference 2010
Held over a period of three days in November 2010, the International Skryise Greenery Conference (ISGC) 2010 was a success, drawing a response of more than 450 participants from 28 countries. The ISGC 2010 was organised by National Parks Board (NParks) and co-organised with the International Green Roofs Association (IGRA). The Guest-of-honour Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education, Singapore, graced the event with her presence. The ISGC 2010 comprised of a two-day conference and one-day technical tour with a trade exhibition held concurrently over the two-day conference.
Theme
The theme for ISGC 2010 was Surfaces of creativity: Spaces of Delight. This overarching theme sought to explore topics on the creative greening of urban spaces and the positive impact of these new surfaces to the city and its inhabitants.
Speakers
Various prominent speakers in the Skyrise Greenery scene were invited to speak at the ISGC 2010. Some of these speakers included Mr Patrick Blanc, Dr Ken Yeang, Ms Linda Velazquez and Mr Emilio Ambasz. Speakers presented on topics such as global trends of Skyrise Greenery, technical studies, eco impact to policies and initiatives, allowing participants of the conference to attend a variety of workshops catered to their area of interest.

Technical tour
On the third day of the ISGC 2010, delegates were given exclusive access to the latest skyrise greenery projects in Singapore that had not been open to the public at that time. Tour sites included the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, Pinnacle @ Duxton, Gardens by the Bay & Marina Barrage, The Orchard Residences, Keppel Club- Reflections by The Bay and the rooftop garden at 141A Toa Payoh HDB Multi-storey car park.
